This course is designed to meet the requirements as defined by 1910.120(q)(6)(v) for your facility Incident Commanders on the use of the Incident Command System (ICS)/National Incident Management System (NIMS). They will learn how the incident command structure is formed to manage emergency incidents at industrial emergency scenes, increase responder safety and more effectively use available resources. They will implement key concepts through group activities, computer simulation and table top exercises of crisis events.
Topics include implementation of the incident command system, facility emergency response plans, risks associated with working in chemical protective, the importance of decontamination and being able to implement the company's decontamination plan.
